A New Job Awaits You…

There’s always a job out there for someone. The rate of unemployment has dropped so sharply in the last few years, there literally is a job waiting for you. But it all depends on what job you want, and how you’re going to approach the process of finding a job. You’ve got the people who will go for absolutely any job, meaning they’re obviously going to end up in a job they hate. Then you’ve got the people that are just so picky about what role they have, that they won’t be able to find a job for months. There’s also the people who just don’t even attempt to find one, you definitely don’t want that to be you. If you want a new job, but you think there’s not one for you, you need then here are a few reasons what’s out there, and how you can get it.

Making Yourself Employable

The reason why so many people don’t even make it past the application process is because they are not even employable in the first place. The more effort you put into your CV and what information you can put on it, the better position you’re going to be in. So, the first step is actually making sure the information you put on is correct. Don’t change your grades to help you get employed, some companies do checks of certificates, and you definitely don’t want to get caught lying! Make sure you put all experience on, even if it’s the temporary work experience you would have done through school. The more employers see, the more they’re going to think you’re willing to work. Try not to focus on putting in too much personal information about yourself, such as your likes and dislikes. They’re going to want to know more about your qualifications, and more about how the work experience you have got has shaped you into the potential employee they’re looking for.

You Definitely Should Be Doing This

You should definitely be trying to make yourself as employable as possible through other options. It’s all well and good if your CV is laid out fine, but if you haven’t got it rammed full of experience and qualifications, you’re slowly going to fall to the bottom of the list. For example, STL do courses in many different in things such as Microsoft Office 365, to courses that allow you to become more confident in presenting. The more you take on board, the more jobs you’re going to be able to apply to.

Avoiding Dead Ends

Some people go from dead-end job to dead-end job, and end up getting frustrated that they can’t settle down and find a career that they actually want to do. Try and find a job that’s structured with hours, has annual pay rises, and has room for progression. If you’re after something permanent, don’t go from temporary position to temporary position whilst you wait. It’ll be an endless loop that you’ll struggle to get out.
